Did you know that Carbon Canyon Regional Park has the only coastal redwood grove in southern California? They were planted by boy scouts as a service project when the park was constructed in 1975. We'll be enjoying a these trees as we hike to the grove this coming Saturday. Come on out and see something you'd have to travel 100's of miles to otherwise visit. Time: 12pm Where: Carbon Canyon Regional Park Details: $5.00/vehicle Parking Fee. We will be meeting at the eastern end of the parking lot of the park. (Turn left once in the park and head towards the end). |
